(IPC) INTERNATIONAL PRESS CORPS
Freedom of Speech and Expression
International Press Corps (IPC) is a vital component of democracy since it shows a wide range of viewpoints which no other traditional committee can provide you. The press is the principal link between the United Nations and the world's people. The MISMUN Press Corps is responsible for maintaining this link between the delegates and actions of their committees.
Finally, because the press plays such an important part in UN activity, press freedom is a crucial civic liberty. The press's mission becomes significantly more difficult if there is broad respect for and knowledge of this freedom. Delegates in the International Press Corps will have the option to represent a news agency and act as reporters. Delegates will be allowed to use their creative freedom to conduct interviews, attend press conferences, and uncover breaking news. Prospective IPC reporters should like writing and be willing to put their curious and adventurous aspects to use.
IPC is a committee for experienced delegates, although it is available to delegates of all experience levels who want to test their delegate capacity. I am convinced that learning about the strong world of media will be a rewarding experience for everyone engaged. It is your obligation as journalists to depict not only the black and white of our world, but also the grey. Allow the words to pour from you as you immerse yourself in the world of journalism.

CHAIRS
Oprah Maibam
Chairperson of IPC
It gives us immense pleasure to introduce our International Press Corps Chair for MISMUN’23, Oprah Maibam. She is renowned for producing high-quality work and is a woman of few words who takes full advantage of every opportunity to demonstrate her linguistic skills. With a vision of achieving significant development in areas specifically of child trafficking, she has volunteered in major child-focused NGOs. She is someone who easily embraces leadership roles and may even be described as strong and incredibly brazen. She currently serves as the Editor-in- Chief for the school newsletter and is also very academic oriented Cambridge student. She aspires to pursue a career in the business industry. A peculiar combo is that! I'm looking forward to watch Oprahi head this committee while addressing the upcoming diplomat writers.
